Female founded in Minneapolis, MN, The Functionist is on a mission to create high quality, sustainable products that nurture the mind, body, and planet.

We create products using the world’s most nutrient dense foods and efficacious foods, and then deliver them in a convenient format to easily integrate into your daily routine.

How did we get our start?

After investing in sustainable and regenerative food companies (even a mushroom farm) and not seeing enough companies nurture the planet while they fed people, we decided to start our own brand to do just that–nurture the mind and body of people while *also* nurturing the planet.

Does your product taste like mushrooms?

We hope so! Our products are 100% mushroom fruit bodies, mycelium, or primordia. (If your supplement doesn’t taste like mushrooms, what else does it have in it..?)

100% of our mushrooms are grown in the USA.
